Who makes the rules?!

I don't know if its the rebel in me or what, but mixing and matching is favorite thing to do; putting together colors that aren't supposed to go together, wearing white in October, but then again who makes the rules? Who says you can't wear white after labor day? Who says black and brown should be kept apart?! Denim on denim?! Polka dots & Stripes?! Your favorite summer dress in December?! WHO?!.. TELL ME!!!! Well here's my rule -- life's too short for rules.

Eeekk-- Street Style

I have been always been influenced by street style over everything. There is something so inspiring and interesting about seeing how a regular person on the street styled their outfit. To me, getting dressed is not just about throwing clothes on; your body is your canvas and you're creating the art.

This is the only Kate Spade bag I own, and I must say I will definitely buy again. I seen this bag being carried by Sarah Jessica Parker here, and its been love ever since. Its a good sized tote so I use it strictly for school and carry way too much stuff in it; I am amazed how its held up.

black & yellow

My style has been pretty casual lately. My flat boot collection is growing rapidly, and not intentionally. Maybe I am just becoming more comfortable with my height (a measly 5'1), or maybe I am just getting old and starting to value my comfort more. In any case, I decided to switch it up and break out my sneaker wedges today and it felt good!

p.s. This "leather jacket" I'm wearing is really a leather vest layered over a very thin little leather jacket. I'm on the hunt for the perfect leather jacket and have yet to come across one that fits my size xxs self. If you know where I can find one, please feel share the wealth!

Free Falling

To say I'm obsessed with fall is an understatement. I love everything about it; the smell, clothes, boots, hats, layering, activities, the beverages, the colors, etc. Today was the perfect fall day in western New York; a blazer, hat and boots.

Today was a perfect day: breakfast and shopping; my two favorite things! I am obsessed with vintage and antique shopping, and today we went into the cutest antique shop by my house and snapped some pictures while we looked around.

While dressing I styled around my new Van Halen cut off; with the color scheme of these shorts they were kind of a given. I absolutely love them, they fit so well and are really flattering on any body type. They're last season, but florals are everything this season. Hey! did you notice my Forth of July nail job? :)
